Sweet Deals and Jamming Vibes

Grapes, Blackberries, & Raspberries on Sale thru May 24

We’ve selected varieties of grapes and berries that do well in WNC and can handle the heat, disease, and pest pressure we experience in our region.  All of the fruits listed below are self-fruitful, meaning if you have limited space, you only need to plant one to bear fruit.  Come scoop up these fruit-producers, they’re relatively easy to care for and spending $15 now will save you much more at the grocery store in the future.

Grapes, Blackberries, & Raspberries - $3 off! Now only $15 each.

Wednesday May 20th - Sunday May 24th

Seedless Grapes:

  • 'Himrod' - white

  • 'Reliance' - red

  • 'Concord' - black

Raspberries:

  • 'Caroline' - thorny canes, ever-bearing – two crops, red fruit

  • 'Fall Gold' - upright, thorny canes, ever-bearing – two crops, yellow fruit

  • 'Glencoe' - thornless variety, a cross between black and red raspberry, bushier, less sprawling habit than most

Blackberries:

  • 'Galaxy' - thornless, semi-erect

  • 'Celestial' - thornless, semi-erect, exceptionally heat tolerant

  • 'Sweetie Pie' - thornless, trailing habit, excellent disease and heat tolerance, too soft for commercial shipping, so a real homegrown treat!

  • 'Osage' - thornless, erect, heat tolerance

*Note:  It is recommended by the ‘Mid-Atlantic Berry Guide’ to plant raspberries and blackberries in different locations on your property (30’+ apart) to avoid risk of disease transfer since aphids can transport curl virus from symptomless blackberries to raspberries.  It is also recommended to keep red raspberries separate from black or purple raspberries to avoid spreading mosaic virus.

And don't miss our blueberry restock from Carolina Natives this week. Not on sale, but three fabulous varieties of Northern Highbush at a great value: 'Duke,' 'Jersey,' and 'Blue Jay.' 3 Gallon pots for $32.00
