Bird Friendly Gardening

Join Painters for a presentation on Bird-Friendly Gardening at the Old Fort Trails and Trains Festival!

Jun 05, 2026, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Arrowhead Gallery & Studios (outside), 77 Catawba Ave, Old Fort, NC 28762

Are you looking to create beautiful gardens that are also beneficial for pollinators and birds? At Painters we grow an extensive selection of plants that offer both benefits; many natives in particular have blooms that are an excellent source of nectar for pollinators, that then age to provide bountiful seed for birds. We call them 'birdseed perennials!'

Catch an informative session on Bird-Friendly Gardening at the Old Fort Trails and Trains Festival with Painters co-owner Dana Owen. Dana will walk you through creating a backyard haven, highlighting the most essential plants to attract and support songbirds and the pollinators that feed them.

Details: Free and open to the public

Time and Date: Friday, June 5 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Location: Mauney Park, downtown Old Fort (between the library & museum)
