What Happens to Those Extra Plants??
Because it is impossible to exactly estimate demand for each crop, we typically end up with some leftover plants at the end of June. Everyone wants to know if they will go to waste, but no worries - we work hard to find homes for them! We donate a large number of plants throughout the year to various nonprofits, schools and community garden ventures. At the end of each season, we contact a list of potential recipients for the remaining items. And of course, we've been known to take the scragglers back to our own homes as well!
If you run a nonprofit and would like to be on our contact list, please email us.
